Quo Vadis & Friends: Harry Lester

10th April

Quo Vadis & Friends: Harry Lester
Wednesday 10th April, from 7pm

In April, we are thrilled to welcome Harry Lester as our first international guest at QV this year. Harry, an original wunderkind of the London restaurant scene, made waves with The Anchor and Hope, Waterloo, in the aftermath of the nose-to-tail revolution. This sensation of a pub had the audacity to win all sorts of awards for its excellent food, proving that splendid fare could be at its most beguiling when served in a relaxed setting.

The bright star was stolen from London too soon, drawn to the Massif Central by the seductive allure of rural bliss and bounteous produce. He continued to flourish in the heart of the Auvergne: his stint at the Auberge de Chassignolles inspired many a culinary pilgrimage, and Le Saint Eutrope became the quintessential brilliant bistro. All the while, Harry fostered his passion for natural wine, founding Gergovie Wines alongside Raef Hodgson, which was pivotal in the creation of beloved London institutions 40 Maltby Street and Café Deco.

Harry passed on Le Saint Eutrope to Michael Hazlewood earlier this year, who has stepped up to the plate with flair, garnered from cooking in the finest kitchens around the world. As the siren call of Jeremy Lee beckons Harry and Mike back to Soho, they plan to create a sumptuous three course meal, served feasting-style in our upper chambers. A menu-plotting session featured the words ‘grand aioli’… consider our interest piqued.

Tickets will be £80, and our members have priority booking for 72 hours. Book here.

Huge thanks, as ever, to our brilliant sponsors Gin Mare, Everleaf and Journey’s End.
