Like the warm dry handshake of a benevolent uncle, Quo Vadis Club welcomes its members in discreet style. A retreat from the tiresome frippery of urban living, the private members’ club will be the last word in service. To guarantee comfort, membership is strictly limited but unrestricted by age, beliefs or hobbies.

Formerly the home of Karl Marx, Quo Vadis has been a grande dame of Soho ever since it opened as a restaurant in 1926. New owners Sam and Eddie Hart, fresh from their success with restaurants Fino and Barrafina, now do for private members clubs what they have already done for tapas.

The ground floor restaurant serves simple, beautifully cooked food to the public in comfortable and elegant surroundings, while members pass through the notorious double doors into the club. On the first floor, a sumptuous sitting room welcomes guests for cocktails, champagne and exquisite bar food from 11am until they should know better. Meanwhile upstairs, for those seeking gentler pursuits - two private dining rooms, a billiards room and a petting room, all complimented by a well stocked honesty bar, will keep minds fresh and pulses racing.
