QV Welcomes in the British Summer
Here at QV, Soho’s most character full British eating and drinking emporium, we have been hard at work designing a new, seasonal British summer menu, wine list, cocktail list and outside terrace.
With our head Chef JP Patruno we have created a more concise menu featuring the best British seasonal ingredients at more accessible prices. Fresh English Peas and Radishes are now in season and make a perfect nibble begin with. We have some delicious new starters such as Chilled Cucumber and Coriander Soup, Ham Hock terrine and Piccalilli and English Asparagus with a Poached Bantam Egg, and main courses such as Cornish Red Gurnard with Clams and Sea Beet, Montgomery Cheddar Waffle with Spring Vegetables and Rabbit Baked in a Sourdough Crust. New puddings include Pimms Jelly and Strawberry and Custard Tart.
Jack Lewens (ex River Café sommelier) has joined us and is overseeing the wine lists at Quo Vadis, Fino and Barrafina. The new wine list at Quo Vadis is focused on traditional wines often from smaller producers who use sustainable agriculture and organic or biodynamic farming to produce wines of character. With a bias towards the wines of Europe we have created a new and accessible list with choice in all categories.
In the bar, Zdenek and his team have been busy dreaming up a fabulous new summer cocktail list. Drinks such as the Rhubarb thing, Leviathon and Shrub are guaranteed to bring some sunshine onto the streets of Soho.
It is not only the menu and wine list that have been improved: solid oak tables have replaced the white linen tablecloths and the decor has been re-touched to create a fresh, informal and more contemporary atmosphere. For summer dining, more generous seating has been added to the terrace outside and the central doors of the restaurant can now open out onto the buzz of Soho.
We look forward to seeing you down in the restaurant and on the terrace as well as up in the club.
